Lupita, Rosa, and José live with their parents in a tiny one-room dwelling made of stones and pieces of laminated tin. Their home has a dirt floor and no windows. When it rains heavily, water pours in and the floor turns to mud. There was no crib for José when he was born. They laid him in a cardboard box. In the photo below, the children are passing the time on a street corner while their Mom sells crafts at a nearby intersection. Education will give these children a good chance for a brighter future. That is what the Cuernavaca Children’s Mission is all about.
